Sam’s Grille Closes in Wynnewood

Posted by Alex Tewfik on December 3rd, 2012

After 16 years of service, Sam’s Grille has shut down. The family favorite bistro in the Wynnewood Shopping Center has gone dark and a sign on the door thanks their loyal customers for their years of patronage. Don’t fret too much, though; owner Susan Schlisman’s center city locations, Smokin’ Betty’s and Devil’s Alley, are still alive and kickin’.

Where will the Main Line’s senior population go for bland and boring food now?

Truly the end of an era! Since the week it opened, Sam’s was always our family’s go to spot. Lots of great meals and fond memories – you will be missed!

Have been eating at Sam’s several times a month since they opened. We will miss having such a good neighborhood place to eat and will also miss the great staff!

Farewell to bad rubbish. That place was horrible. It was dirty, Sue was a bitch and the only reason it stayed busy was location because Wynnewood so sorely lacking in the restaurant department. I hope the rest of her places fail. She treated her staff like crap. She didn’t even tell them they were closing, she had one of the workers do it. No bonuses, no severance, no how do ya do for people who worked there for 16 years. Glad to see them go.
