Ants Pants Launches Dinner

Ants Pants Cafe at 2212 South Street is adding dinner service, starting tonight. It’s a full menu of small plates, salads, sandwiches and larger plates. A departure for the Australian themed cafe that until now has been known for bacon stacks and Violet Crumble milkshakes. We’re intrigued to try the Aussie Burger with grilled pineapple, roasted beets and an over medium egg.
Small plates
Mussels $10
sautéed w/ shallots, white wine, garlic and thyme in a marinara sauce
Diver Scallops $11
grilled w/ parsnip puree
Hummus $7
w/ caramelized onion and grilled pita
Guacamole $7
w/ fresh fried corn tortillas
Brussel sprouts $6
sautéed w/ crispy shallots and shaved pecorino romano
Asparagus $6
grilled w/balsamic glaze and crumbled feta
Sweet potato fries $4.75
w/ sweet chili sauce and sour cream

served w/ your choice of salad or chip fries
Roasted beet salad $10
mixed greens w/ warm honey wheat crusted goat cheese, fried capers and a plum vinaigrette
Pear salad $10
mixed greens w/ roquefort, toasted pistachios and a plum vinaigrette
Aussie burger $13
w/ grilled pineapple, roasted beets and an over medium egg on a challah roll
Meatball sub $12
veal, pork, beef meatballs w/sharp provolone on a challah roll
Pancetta ‘BLT’ $11
crispy pancetta, tomato, watercress, avocado and garlic aioli on focaccia
Maple bacon $11
pickled red onion, avocado, arugula, garlic aioli, over medium egg on baguette
Vegetarian 3 bean chili $10
w/ sour cream, cheddar, avocado and fresh fried corn tortillas
Smoked salmon scramble $13
3 eggs, crispy red onion, avocado, feta and chives
Sweet potato hash $12
w/ bacon, sunny eggs and garlic aioli
Bacon corn pancakes $10
w/ sunny eggs
Bacon stack $11
toasted sourdough, arugula, tomato, sunny eggs and pecorino romano
