So if the Mayan calendar is to be believed the world may come to an end tomorrow. We’ve got a list of  bars and restaurants hosting special events to ensure when the end comes, you’ll feel fine or at least will be drunk on La Fin du Monde (what a coup for Unibroue).

 End of the World Parties on Thursday

Blackfish – It’s the end of the world, grab that special wine and head to Blackfish for their special dinner.

City Tap House – The University City mega bar is tapping kegs of La Fin Du Monde and other Unbrioue beers at 11p.m. Get there by midnight to test the end of the world.

Ela – It’s all about decadence at Ela. Caviar, white truffles, foie gras, and Mayan chocolate will be on Jason Cichonski’s Thursday night menu (PDF).

Grey Lodge - C’est La Fin du Monde, et Nous Nous Sentons Bien is the name of the event. The Frankford Avenue bar has gotten hold of a rare barrel of La Fin du Monde and they will have a bunch of bottle conditioned Unibroue beers as well. There will also be Troegs Impending Decent, a Russian Imperial Stout.

Iron Hill Maple Shade – From 5 to 9 p.m., Iron Hill Maple Shade will be celebrating the re-release of the aptly named Apocalypso. Apocalypso is a single-hopped American IPA featuring Calypso hops.

Opa - It might be your last time to try tripe, heart and sweetbreads. These items and less scary filet mignon will be on special Thursday night at Opa. And at midnight there will be a complimentary Champagne toast.

Resurrection Ale House - Drinking good beer seems like a good way to bow out on the world. And where better to do it than a place called “Resurrection?” Great Lakes beers will be on tap at  5 p.m. and there will also be La Fin du Monde  and Dogfish Head’s Theobroma on draft.

Friday End of the World Parties

Interstate Drafthouse - $3 draft beers and $5 Fishtown iced teas from 7 p.m. to midnight.

Varga Bar – At Varga they’re promising a party to end the world if the Mayans can’t do it on their own. Lefthand brews on tap.

Xochitl – Headhouse Square’s Xochitl is offering a $30, 3-course menu this Friday. Down your end-of-the-world sorrows with $5 Blood Orange Margaritas from 9 to 11 p.m.
