Update: Agiato: It’s Open, It’s Closed, It’s Open, It’s Closed, It’s Open

Michael Klein reports that Agiato in Manayunk is closed again. This time, the ventilation system is said to be to blame. This is the restaurant’s third shutdown in a year and as Klein notes, the liquor license is currently listed as inactive.  Agiato is owned by Belvedere Restaurant Group, the same group behind Tapestry which is also currently closed, but seemingly destined to reopen in February.

UPDATE: The wheel landed on green. Michael Klein is now reporting that Agiato reopened yesterday.

      Maybe the Farmers Cabinet people could take these places over and turn them around.

      Nobody learns. The PLCB should under NO circumstances, grant these clowns another liquor license, allow them to transfer one, or whatever. They still owe back taxes on several others, which is why Agiato is no longer serving liquor. They can’t, by law. It’s a game of Three Card Monty with liquor licenses, vendors, the PLCB, employees, etc. As shady as they come. These guys make the Farmer’s Cabinet guys look like humanitarians.

      the toxic twins-Screaming Rich & Silent Bob now starring in the reality show “JERKS”.seriously though these two have about $700,000 out on the street owed to vendors,lanlords,employees,multiple lawsuits etc..the only employees they have left are Rich’s kids,undocumented latinos & the dimwitted.to the customers-please continue to patronize their operations as long as you are comfortable supporting predatory business owners who abuse the staff in more than $ not paid and refuse to pay their outstanding debts to other honest business owners, some of which have gone out of operation due to the amounts $ owed to them.everyone loves a good shitshow story except when it happens to you. don’t give them revenue and they will cease to operate,it is that simple. please allow an honest entrepenure,with solid investors and(yes,they exist) integrity to make a go of it. can’t get any worse than what ya’ll got now Manayunk!

      I am not sure why the landloard at Tapestry would rent to these guys. They paid so many bills and employees for Agiato thru tapestry that it caused them to close. Now they are back for more money off the only tree that has ever made money for them. But will history repeat itself or will they let main street go by the wayside? One thing is for sure that Rich and Rob will blame everyone else for their failure. Yes “Restaurant Jerks ” should be on TV followed by “Restaurant Impossible to get Paid”
