Where’s the PPA when you need them? Here’s Guy Fieri on Germantown Avenue near Geechee Girl Rice Cafe. Fieri has been in town filming segments for Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.

this guy has go to go away. there is nothing funny, clever or remotely interesting about his show (which is aired 24/7 on food network!) And don’t get me started on his 90′s bleached hair and sunglasses on the back of his head.

  I don’t think the show is horrible. He may not be a good cook, judging by the reviews of his NYC resturant, but he know’s what he’s talking about, taste wise when he goes to these places.

Chill out, everyone. I agree with mel. Anthony Bourdain or Guy Fieri — does it really make THAT much of a difference to everyone? Anthony Bourdain is just as popular of a reality food TV figure as Guy Fieri, he just doesn’t have annoying sayings. And everybody celebrated Bourdain’s Philly visit.

But the bottom line is that Fieri is highlighting local businesses and chefs and to be honest, Diners, Drive-ins & Dives is one of the better food shows because it actually shows people in the kitchen cooking and is aimed to compliment and showcase real people and talent. Even popular foodie shows like Top Chef and Iron Chef have significantly cut down on how much cooking they show in favor or drama and commentary.

Let’s just be glad Philly is getting more recognition. Everyone is always so pissed that it doesn’t get recognition. Seems like there’s no way to win with you people…
