Sheetz Versus Wawa in the New York Times

Posted by Arthur Etchells on February 11th, 2013

Sheetz versus Wawa is an argument we’ve heard mainly between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia Penn Staters. I’ve never been to a Sheetz but as Dan McQuade points out, Wawa is the convenience store of my youth, so rational thought need not apply, Wawa is better (though if Sheetz started opening Center City Philadelphia stores, my allegiance could be swayed).

Check out the New York Times for the whole story, or head to the Philly Post for McQuade’s humorous look at the Wawa versus Sheetz debate.

Sheetz is far better than WaWa although 7 eleven and Circle K were the stores of my youth considering I grew up out west. Sheetz has better food, better coffee, and ran much better over all. Every WaWa I have entered the employees seem high strung and as for the management of WaWa (especially in South Jersey) well I will leave that to your imagination….WaWA (I have seen this first hand)”marries it’s milk and creamers at the coffee station (which is VERY ILLEGAL…cross contamination donchaknow) and when management is asked about this “company proceedure” they give you a pat response of “well it’s company policy and we need more room for other stuff”

Sheetz way better and I hope they open a store soon in Cape May cause WA WA is unfortunately the only ticket in town and they SUCK
