Chickie’s & Pete’s Heads to… Missouri?!?!

It seems like Chickie’s & Pete’s owner and Crabfries progenitor Pete Ciarrocchi has been opening new outposts of his popular sports bar at a ridiculous rate.

There are now eight full-service standalone restaurants, four Philadelphia International Airport locations, a 13,000-square-foot spot in Parx casino, and several seasonal Chickie’s at the Jersey Shore and Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom. And you can, of course, get the fries at pretty much every large sporting and concert venue in Pennsylvania and South Jersey. They’re even in Pittsburgh.

And Pete shows no signs of slowing down, even with that whole TipGate thing dogging him. In addition to a huge operation soon to open at the Tropicana in Atlantic City, Pete is heading west and taking his Crabfries to Kansas City, Missouri.

This year, a Chickie’s & Pete’s pavilion will debut at Worlds of Fun/Oceans of Fun, an amusement park operated by the company that owns Dorney Park. The Kansas City location will offer Crabfries, traditional and lobster cheesesteaks, and cheesesteak nachos. Pete is also in talks with the Kansas City Chiefs about a Chickie’s & Pete’s in Arrowhead Stadium. Just the kind of food that the bulging midwest needs.
