Tater Tot Truck Hits Temple’s Campus This Saturday

Posted by Foobooz on March 14th, 2013

Meet Chris P. Tater!

Temple graduate Julie Crist is opening The Tot Cart, her own tater tot truck, on Temple University’s campus this Saturday. Crist will be serving several varieties of the popular potato treat including:

  • Plain tots
  • Drunk cheese tots
  • Buffalo tots
  • Crab tots
  • Garlic/parm tots
  • Indian spiced tots

The Tot Cart will be located on 13th Street between Montgomery and Polette Walk, in front of Speakman Hall. The grand opening will take place Saturday, March 16th from 3 p.m. to midnight.

We think this is tot-ally awesome.

Uhhh…great idea for a truck, but does she realize Temple is on spring break until Monday? The campus is pretty much a ghost town right now.

I agree with the previous comment. March 16th is a terrible day to schedule the “grand” opening. No one is going to be on campus; the truck’s going to get maybe 2 customers. I guess that’s fine for a test run. Also, location and idea is good but focus is wayyy too narrow. Just tots? I don’t care what the garnish is, I’m in the mood for tater-tots maybe once every 3 years – I’m not 5 years old and I’m not Napoleon Dynamite. The truck is going to need more to survive against the several other delicious trucks/foodstands that offer a wider variety.

Hey Yonny! I hope to see you at the Tot Cart soon! We had a great turn-out on March 16th despite the weather and spring break. 120 orders sold…not too shabby! Come on down, even if it’s once in 3 years! You’re missing some good stuff.
