Weekend: Crawfish Boil to Celebrate One Year At Rex 1516

It’s been a helluva first year for Rex 1516, so they’re throwing a party.

The Rex 1516 one-year anniversary crawfish boil and jazz weekend kicked off last night with new executive chef Justin Swain offering up his specialty crawfish boil (two pounds of crawfish, andouille sausage, corn and red bliss potatoes) for $25 per person. Guests can also wash down their crawdaddies with Narragansett Pounders at $10 for a bucket of four.

The celebration takes place runs all weekend (April 18, 19 and 20) and features all of the Southern-inspired comfort food that has made Rex one of South Street’s best in the past year. And as if the food wasn’t enough, the Eric Wortham Trio will be performing live jazz on the outdoor patio each night. And at the bar, they’ll be slinging Hurricanes alongside a new menu of $5 spring bar snacks.
