Scoop DeVille Is Reopening

Last month, we reported that popular ice cream spot Scoop DeVille was being chased out of its home at 1734 Chestnut Street by rising rents, but that we were hearing about a deal in the works for a new fallback city location. At the time, everything was kind of up in the air, but now we’ve got confirmation that it’s a done deal.

A brand new Scoop DeVille will be moving into 1315 Walnut Street, in the Philadelphia Building. The projected opening date is the weekend of May 24. And yeah, we’re pretty confident that the place is still going to be selling ice cream.
