Here’s What Happens When You Offer People Free Cookies

So it doesn’t take much–a warm day, some sunshine, hundreds of free cookies–to get the people of Philadelphia to stand in line.

We were down in Rittenhouse Square this afternoon for the second of our 2013 Best of Philly public tastings (the last one–an Italian hoagie tasting, is happening this Sunday, June 9, at the KOP Mall), and the turnout was huge. In less than 45 minutes, we’d given away every cookie we had, collected hundreds of votes on whose was the best, and will be revealing the winners in August’s Best of Philly issue.

In the meantime, we also took a bunch of pretty pictures. So, if you weren’t there, now you’ll know what you missed.
