Bryn Mawr’s Verdad Is Selling Pot Brownies

Oh, don’t get too excited. Verdad — that’s the restaurant in Bryn Mawr that got into trouble with overactive animal rights people over its “backyard sausages” — did not figure out some loophole in the drug laws. No, the pot brownies that Chef Nick Farina is cooking up do not contain any THC, sadly.

Verdad’s new $9 pot brownies (pictured) are dark chocolate brownies with chopped peanuts and banana mousse, baked inside a flower pot and topped with a spring of mint.

The pot brownies are part of Verdad’s 4th anniversary celebration. The restaurant is also offering free fish tacos during Friday happy hours (starting this Friday with mahi mahi tacos) and deep fried corn on the cob for $5 per ear.
