Dan McQuade spotted this 500° bag in last week’s episode of the Office. 500° owner, Rob Wasserman had no idea his burger spot’s bag was going to show up on network television but then The Price Is Right didn’t tell him that a meal at Rouge, Wasserman’s Rittenhouse spot, was going to be a prize either.

500º reopens today after a June 3rd fire. In honor of the fire the burger of the week will be the Spontaneous Combustion. The burger will feature home made hot sauce, pepper jack cheese, and smoked mayo. The burger is $6.50, the combo with soda is $11, with a shake, $13.

The south side of the 1600 block of South Street finally has been cleared of construction but it not in time to save Apamate. The Spanish tapas spot has closed its doors but chef Ane Ormaechea says she has something new planned. [Meal Ticket]
500º is closed temporarily due to a fire. Workers were seen cleaning up the store on Saturday afternoon and the burger store’s Facebook page says they’ll be back in a week. [500º Facebook]

Through 10:30 this morning, print or show this coupon at Starbucks and receive a free pastry with the purchase of any brewed or iced beverage.
Beginning at 11am the first 100 customers at 500º (1504 Sansom St) will receive a free burger. Then till 3pm it is buy one, get one free if you bring a friend. After 5 it is free soda with the purchase of a burger and after 11, free fries with purchase.
At Ben & Jerry’s (2 locations in University City) it is free cone day from noon to 8pm. Get a free cone including one of their new flavors, Chocowlate Chip, Maple Blondie and Milk & Cookies.
