Google Doodle Inspires Cocktail at the Four Seasons

Posted by Foobooz on November 12th, 2012

Today is Auguste Rodin’s 172nd birthday and Google has graced its homempage with a homage to the French artist. And since the Philadelphia has a newly reopened Rodin Museum and the most Rodin work outside of France, the Four Seasons on the Parkway is also celebrating with a special cocktail, “The Thinker.”

Get the drink at the Swann Lounge or make it yourself.

Made in America, Music, Food and a Bar Crawl

Posted by Foobooz on August 31st, 2012

This weekend the Made in America festival comes to the Parkway as Jay-Z hosts the two-day concert. Over at the Philly Post we have Questlove’s guide to the Made in America artists. Michael Klein rounds up the food options, including some of our favorite food trucks and Thrillist offers a suggested bar crawl.

If there’s no festival going or bar crawling this holiday weekend, you can still stream all the Parkway action via YouTube and Pandora.

And if you’re just trying to get around town, you’ll want to know about these street closures and parking restrictions.

Milk & Honey Coming to the Parkway

Posted by Foobooz on April 26th, 2012

Mauro Daigle and Annie Baum-Stein of Milk & Honey Market in West Philadelphia are opening an offshoot of their popular spot on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The Milk & Honey Café, to be located in brand new Sister Cities Park right in front of the Cathedral, will serve locally grown and produced foods that fans of the market have come to enjoy.

The casual café is right in the heart of the museum district including the just about to open Barnes Foundation. Daigle and Baum-Stein are bringing some of Philadelphia’s favorite brands to the café, brewing La Colombe Coffee, scooping Bassett’s Ice Cream, and toasting South Street Philly Bagels. Sourcing from as close as the Italian market and as far as Lancaster County, the pair is bringing something for locals and tourists on the Parkway.

Fountain at the Four Seasons Closed for Maintenance, Swann Getting Truffled Beer

Posted by Foobooz on January 6th, 2012

The Fountain at the Four Seasons is closed until January 17th. According to the PR person we spoke to at the Four Seasons, the four-bell restaurant is closed for routine maintenance that will only affect the kitchen, there won’t be any guest-facing changes. In the meantime the Swann Lounge is open for business. So it seems this construction will not address any of the issues raised by Victor Fiorillo in this Philly Post article.

In other Four Seasons news, Dock Street Brewing is brewing a series of collaborative beers to be offered exclusively at the Swann Lounge.
