Louisiana Boil Tonight at Cedar Point Bar and Kitchen

Posted by Sam Bloch on May 16th, 2013

Every Thursday night at Fishtown’s Cedar Point Bar and Kitchen, chef Shannon Dougherty cooks up a “Louisiana Boil.”  The boil can contain anything from crawfish to mussels to crabs to shrimp and is usually served with andouille sausage, potatoes, corn on the cob, or French bread for just $15.

Cedar Point also has some great happy hours specials from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Thursdays so you can enjoy a refreshing drink with your boil. Tonight, Dougherty is tossing shrimp and crawfish into the boil. If you can’t make it tonight, have no fear as this boil is turning into a Thursday tradition at the new Fishtown spot.

Holly Moore was at Carman’s Country Kitchen for its last day. No future local spot is in the works for owner Carman Luntzal, who is heading out of town. But check out Moore’s photos of the last day at the 23-year old South Philadelphia bruncherie.
