The Appetizer Formerly Known As
Back in February Guy Fieri filmed at six local spots for Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Tonight at 10 p.m. we’ll see the first of the Philadelphia establishments featured. Sidecar Bar & Grille will be on tonight’s episode, Chicken, Chili and Chowder.
The Sidecar is inviting everyone to come in and hang out as they watch the showing on both floors. Sidecar’s clam chowder, gnocchi and crab topped fries(The Appetizer Formerly Known As …) will be featured on the show.

Where’s the PPA when you need them? Here’s Guy Fieri on Germantown Avenue near Geechee Girl Rice Cafe. Fieri has been in town filming segments for Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.

We thought it was odd that Sidecar Bar & Grille at 22nd and Christian was closed during the day yesterday. Doubly weird that the Standard Tap was also closed. But then a tipster told us they spotted a Diners, Drive-ins and Dives film crew at Sidecar and it began to make sense. We reached out to Standard Tap owner William Reed as to whether he had received a visit from “Flavor Town.” Reed issued a “no comment” which speaks volumes.
Did anyone see Guy Fieri himself around town? And are any diners, drive-ins or dives not open today? Let us know.

Tonight at 10pm on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins and Dives will feature the Good Dog Bar, and from the looks of it, the show will feature the truffled cheesesteak empanadas. Watch it at home or head to the Good Dog and order up those empanadas. After all isn’t it good to break the Good Dog burger rut once in awhile?

With Guy Fieri in town visiting Memphis Taproom, Honey’s Sit ‘N Eat and Good Dog we wanted to bring up a recurring question, what is a dive and is Good Dog or the other spots Fieri visited for Drive-ins, Diners and Dives truly a dive?

We didn’t know so many of you would be so excited to know that Guy Fieri is in town today but we keep getting emails. Earlier in the day the host of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives was filming at Memphis Taproom and he is at Good Dog Bar right now. And according to Flying Fish’s Twitter feed, Guy is being joined by Flying Fish brewer, Casey Hughes.
