Today is Dining Out for Life, the AIDS fundraiser that raises money by donating a portion of proceeds to AIDS-related charities.
This afternoon, nine food trucks are having a meetup on East Passyunk between Tasker and Morris Streets. Head to Passyunk for lunch today and decide among cheese curds, mac & cheese and Jamaican platters.

Dining Out for Life is returning for its 23rd year and is adding food trucks to its one day AIDS fundraiser. Twelve or so food trucks will be setting up in the parking lot at 12th and Passyunk from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 25th.

Tonight is Dining Out for Life, the annual fundraiser dedicated to providing funds to local AIDS organizations to fund care, prevention, education, testing, counseling and other essential HIV/AIDS services. More than 200 local restaurants participate by donating 33 percent of today’s proceeds to the cause. Last year more than a quarter of a million dollars were donated by participating restaurants across the country.
Right now the Dining Out for Life web site is being crushed by traffic but you can still go to OpenTable to find a participating restaurant

If you participate in Dining Out for Life next Thursday you will have the opportunity to receive a 20% off your food bill every Tuesday all year.
Make a donation of $25 or more in your Apple Vacation Raffle envelope and you will receive a 20% off Tuesday card. The card will work at over 50 participating restaurants.
