Mini Trini To Start Hosting Pop-Ups

Mini Trini, the Trinidadian food truck is hosting a series of pop-up dinners starting this Wednesday and following weekly. The dinners will start at just $11 and include some of the same dishes you can get from the truck.

On the menu for the first pop-up dinner at Calypso (7122 Germantown Avenue) is curried shrimp, rice, curried cabbage and dahl. All for just! $11. Pick-up starts at 6 p.m. Text 610-348-5401 to place your order and they will confirm.

Cliveden Winter Beer Festival This Saturday

clivedenbeerbanner2 The Cliveden Winter Beer Festival and Fundraiser takes place this Saturday in Germantown. The festival takes place at the Cliveden’s historic grounds where the site of the Battle of Germantown took place.

Tickets are $40 online and $65 at the door. There is also a $65 VIP session that starts an hour earlier andÂ portion of ticket sales goes to support the Cliveden’s preservation and community revitalization work.

Geechee Girl Getting Props

Germantown’s Geechee Girl Rice Cafe has been getting noticed of late. Geeche Girl builds upon traditional southern rice delicacies with Chinese, Thai and other world influences. Be sure to try the Carolina style pulled pork and the shrimp served with black bean-peanut hummus.
