Weekly Specials at Odd Fellows Cafe

Odd Fellows Café in Washington Square West has been serving up some awesome weekly specials. On Mondays and Wednesdays a special prix fixe menu is available that changes each week. For $14.99 guests get a choice of one of two appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The special runs from 5 to 7 p.m. each night, be sure to get there early because all ordering must be done by 7 p.m.

On Tuesdays Odd Fellows does all-you-can-eat tacos for $13.99 and Thursdays features all-you-can-eat arepas for the same price, all between 5 and 7 p.m. Early birds get the worm and arepas with these specials too.

Of course Odd Fellows serves brunch on weekend mornings from 9-3 p.m. and the restaurant is always BYOB.

Jason Cichonski’s New Happy Hour(s) At Ela

Starting next Tuesday, May 22^nd, chef Jason Cichonski is doing Happy Hour His Way and bringing his usual twists to the traditional post-work celebration. Challenging the status quo, Cichonski’s happy hour(s) at Ela will be Tuesday through Friday and Sundays from 5-6:30pm.

Rotating drink specials (like $3 draughts, $5 wines, and $6 cocktails) will be at the bar, and an ever-changing menu will be available as well. Dishes will change per Cichonski’s whim (read: often, and probably without warning) but at any time might include…

Ice, Ice Baby: April Specials At Franklin Mortgage

The Franklin is doing killer monthly happy hours that they call “Extra Credit”–5pm-8pm, Monday through Friday. The deal? A few of the bar’s excellent custom cocktails, selling for just $9 a pop (which, by Franklin Mortgage standards, is a helluva deal).

This month, they’re calling the series “Ice, Ice Baby” and serving heavily iced drinks in honor of the return of the warm weather. But I’ll let them describe what they’re up to.

Theory: Nothing says warm weather like a crushed ice cocktail. These are four from menus past. Please do enjoy. And gentlemen, just so we’re clear, drinking from a straw doesn’t make you look stupid, but spilling crushed ice all over the table does.
