The Meritage will break out a new happy hour menu starting today, May 17. The specials will be available every Tuesday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Graduate Hospital restaurant and wine bar. A bucket of pony Corona’s for $10 and a Korean pork taco for $5 highlight the new menu. And if you want more than just a drink and some snacks, Meritage is still offering its spring tasting menu with seared scallops, roasted lamb loin, and a flourless chocolate torte at just $35 for the rest of the month.

Starting Friday, May 24th, the Trestle Inn is taking it to the street with their Friday Nite Backyard Barbecue, Callowhill Street to be exact. Enjoy a free happy hour Whiskey Sour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Old Forester pitcher and craft cans are also on special. The sidewalks will come alive with sidewalk go-go by The Trestle Specials and food from some of Philly’s favorite food trucks.

On Saturday, April 27th the South Street West Business Association is organizing Sprung, an all-day happy hour at bars on and near South Street, west of Broad Street.
Bars including the just refurbished Pub & Kitchen, Doobies, The Cambridge and more will be participating with different specials from noon to 6 p.m.
A hop-on, hop-off trolley will be running all day from Broad to 23rd Streets. The trolley is $5 and tickets can be bought online.

Rosewood, is officially opening tonight. The craft cocktail lounge from the Weiss brothers who own Woody’s on 13th Street have turned the storefront between Sweet Ending and Minar Palace into a swank cocktail lounge with chandeliers and a long bar.
From Rosewood’s facebook page we can gather that DJs will be part of the entertainment, including DJ Deejay on Wednesdays. Rosewood is accessible directly through its Walnut Street entrance or through Woody’s.

The Mildred is launching happy hour starting this evening. Specials will include $6 house wines and punch, $2 off draft beers and half off the bar menu.
Also look for cocktail specials that will change weekly. Happy hour at the Mildred will rund Tuesday through Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Noir is celebrating chef Marco DeCotiis‘ roots with the O’Canada, a Molson Canadian with a shot of Canadian Club for $5. The special is available during happy hour ( Tuesdays through Sundays) along with half-priced appetizers and other nightly specials.
And Christopher Lee at 1623 (or is it officially Sophia’s now) happy hour is being offered Tuesday through Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. Get $6 appetizers, $3 beers, $5 wines and $6 cocktails at Christopher Lee’s new joint.

Starting today Varga Bar is starting a new buck-a-shuck oyster happy hour. The varietals will change daily but the price will remain one dollar.
Dollar oyster happy hour runs Monday through Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

We love the 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. happy hour and salute the bars that offer it. Emmanuelle is now in that class with their Entre Vous happy hour, offered 6 to 8 p.m. Skip the beers but consider the $7 cocktails.
