Posted by Jason Sheehan on January 10th, 2013

Okay, so the logo might not be up to the Hawk Krall standard set by Hot Diggity (discussed in our Hot Dog Day Part 1 post), but seriously? This might be one of the best drunk-food restaurant innovations of the as-yet-very-young year.

Set to open on January 28 on North Darlington Street in West Chester (according to West Chester Dish), Roll Dogz is a combination hot-dog-and-egg-roll operation with late-night weekend hours.

Foobooz Hot Dog Day, Part 1: Hot Diggity Hits The Bricks (Insert Wiener Joke Here)

Posted by Jason Sheehan on January 10th, 2013

hotdiggitysigns

So, big week at Hot Diggity, right? First they go and get themselves all over the jumping box with their star-making appearance on the Travel Channel’s Hot Dog Paradise. And now word has come down that owner Keith Garabedian is looking to invest in his own version of the Wienermobile in order to take his tubesteaks on the road.

Or, to be more specific, he’s looking for YOU to invest, which is why he’s listed the project on Lucky Ant (one of those new-fangled crowd-funding sites) and is hoping to bring in anywhere from $7000-$10,000 in order to get a fully tricked-out hot dog food truck on the streets. And while sure, it would be very cool of you to drop by and throw a few bucks at this very worthy project without expecting anything in return, the way these things work is on a bonus system. You give a little money, you get a little something back (a free dog and a free drink for donating $5, for example). Give a lot, though, and you might get something super-cool…

IBU Smackdown at Iron Hill Brewery

Posted by Aubrey Nagle on July 24th, 2012

Starting at 5pm on Thursday July 26th Iron Hill Brewery in Chestnut Hill will be hosting the Wrestlemania-themed IBU Smackdown. Head brewer Paul Rutherford will be pitting his Ultimate Warrior IPA against his Belgian Full Nelson in a race to see which cask gets kicked first and is named The Champ.

The menu for the night will include a list of hot dogs named after famous wrestling stars while vintage Wrestlemania will be playing on TV screens around the brewery. Rumor has it there will be some “wrestlers” (brewers in costume, perhaps?) roaming around as well.

Look for the dog menu and details on the Ultimate Warrior and Belgian Full Nelson after the jump.
