IndeBlue on 13th Street Sets an Opening Date

The long anticipated Midtown Village outpost of IndeBlue, the popular Indian BYOB in Collingswood now has an opening date. A sign in the window promises a June 1st opening.

unlike the New Jersey location in dry Collingswood, the Center City location of IndeBlue will have a full bar, It’s also a sizeably larger operation, as IndeBlue’s L-shaped building wraps around neighboring Bridals by Danielle.

The Agenda: Free Pancakes, Transplanted Indian & Wine Dinners

The line is probably just beginning to form at Monk’s Cafe for Russian River and Pliny the Younger madness. It’s not too late to come down with a cold or sudden intestinal distress and head on over .

IndeBlue in Collingswood reopens on Tuesday, March 1st across the street from its original location in the former Blackbird Dining Establishment.

Tuesday is National Pancake Day and IHOP is offering a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes from 7am to 10pm. In exchange diners are asked to make a donation to support The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Wednesday is day three of duck week at Matyson, enjoy duck four ways.

Meritage gets back to its wine roots on Thursday with a four-course French wine dinner.

Modo Mio/Paesano’s Peter McAndrew has settled on Monsú for the name of his new Sicilian restaurant at 9th and Christian. He’s aiming to open by January 21st. [Philadelphia Inquirer]

Christopher Lee, the former Striped Bass front-man is coming back to Philadelphia and is looking for a spot for his seafood concept. [Meal Ticket]

Alex Capasso’s Blackbird Dining Establishment in Collingswood is moving in with its sibling, West Side Gravy on Haddon Avenue. Blackbird won’t stay empty long though as IndeBlue, Collingswood’s tasty Indian restaurant is moving across the street  to the bigger space. [The Insider]

This one-man American food institution is opening Bobby’s Burger Palace, his first Philly restaurant, in UCity today, with a menu of regional toppings to create different burgers. Philly Beer Week has announced they’ve broken the 500 600 events mark but Joe Sixpack’s math has the number north of 700. [Beer Radar]
