Jet Wine Bar is offering Build-Your-Own Flights tonight with any three wines from the full by-the-glass list. The three 2.5 ounce pours cost just $10. There is also a special tasting of Greek wines tonight.

The revolving operators continue at Apollinare where Brian Nagle, founder of Philly2Night.com is the latest to take the reigns.
The husband and wife team behind Jet Wine Bar are looking at the former Philly Kitchen Share and never-was American Blackboard for a new restaurant that could open before the end of summer. [Meal Ticket]

Saturday marks the 137th running of the Kentucky Derby and several local bars are getting in on the mint julep frenzy.
Baggataway Tavern – The Conshohocken bar is celebrating Cinco de Mayo and the Kentucky Derby together. Tents will be set up in the parking lot and there will be bands, margaritas, mint juleps and Mexican food.
Jet Wine Bar – The South Street wine bar will be offering $4 mint juleps from 4 to 7 p.m. and also offering the chance to win prizes for your prognosticating prowess as well as for your hat.
Khyber Pass Pub – The Old City bar with a bit of a southern touch gets into the action with beer bourbon and frozen mint juleps. Show off your equestrian knowledge with a trivia game (2:30). Wear your finest headgear for a chance to win Best in Show (3:30). Live music by the Al Harrison Dixieland Band (4 p.m.). The festivities run all day, kicking off at 11 a.m.

The first week of the new year might be one of the quietest weeks of the year but Philadelphia’s food and drink scene never really goes silent. Here are some notable events and openings for the week.
Just when we all need it, Freshii opens at the Residences at Ritz Carlton and will be offering samples and specials of its healthy fare throughout the day.
Tonight, it’s the monthly industry night at Amis as Konstantinos Pitsillides of Kanella sets up a midnight brunch. Pitsillides and Amis chef, Brad Spence will be preparing signature brunch dishes.
Also opening today is Dublin Square in Cherry Hill.
Tuesday night Jet Wine Bar is offering a tasting of Portuguese wines.
Wednesday sees the 12th Day of Christmas at the Belgian Cafe. It’s a celebration of the three kings with brews of three.
Little Fish was open for dinner on New Year’s Eve and the new location starts serving dinner for real this Thursday.
