Just when I thought things have gone too far, Ommegang proves me otherwise.
Danya Henninger over at Zagat Philadelphia, reported that the New York brewery has created a Game of Thrones beer, a 6.5% ABV blonde ale to be exact, and since almost everything that comes out of Ommegang is awesome, I’m sure this beer is no different (even though it’s a bit of a gimmick). So you can either wait around for the season premier on March 31st to drink it, or go drink it tonight at The P.O.P.E. at 7 p.m., where pints of Iron Throne will be on tap. Then, at 10:15 pm, quizzo-extraordinaire Johnny Goodtimes will be hosting a “Quiz of Thrones.” You’re not a real GoT fan until you drink GoT beer while playing GoT Quizzo. That’s a stone-cold fact.
Oh, and f*** Joffrey.

Quizzo can be a drag when you don’t know the answer. And even more of a drag when you spot a team Googling answers with their iPhones. But tonight Johnny Goodtimes is hosting a quizzo where cheaters DO prosper. Tonight at 6:30 at the MarBar at 40th and Walnut, for a price you will be able to phone a friend, use your cell phone or even ask Johnny for a major hint. All the money raised goes to the Spells Writing Lab. For more information on the lab and the event check out the Spells Writing Lab site.

Johnny Goodtimes is hosting his 4th Quizzo Bowl tomorrow night at the Blue Horizon.
Wednesday we teamed up with Goodtimes to give away some tickets to the show if you were among the first to answer these questions.
