Troegs Nugget Nectar is one of the most sought-after beers of the year and the beer has started shipping in kegs from the Harrisburg brewer. And today, Mad Mex in University City has tapped the Imperial Amber and is offering 22-ounce drafts of the 7.5% beer for just $5.

Paramour in the Hotel Wayne debuts brunch this Sunday. Served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. there will also be a build-your-own Bloody Mary bar.
Little Louie’s Barbecue opened yesterday in Collingswood. The former 505 Prime is serving up barbecue styles from across the US. We’re looking forward to trying cherrwood smoked duck, smoked buffalo sausage and brisket empanadas. [The Insider]
Next Monday Patrick Feury and Chester County Cheese Artisans are combining for a special four-course dinner at Nectar. Meet the farmers and eat a menu of seasonal dishes that compliment the locally crafted cheeses. Dinner is $65 per person. [Nectar]

French Culinary Institute graduate Chef Lila Colello has opened Brulee Bakery, an online operation that provides fresh baked goods and desserts to the Philadelphia area. Every Saturday Colello materializes out of the online world and makes an appearance at the Overbrook Farms Farmers’ Market at Lancaster and City Avenue. The new Tröegs Brewery in Hershey is already brewing beer. Monday saw the opening of the retail store and next Monday should see the opening of the tasting bar. Bryan Kolesar shares more in his exclusive tour. [Brew Lounge]

Construction is continuing at Downingtown’s Avalon Pasta Bistro. The second restaurant from John Brandt-Lee who also owns Avalon in West Chester is slated to open later this Spring. Pictured above is the foundation of the restaurant’s forthcoming patio.
Willow Grove gets a Mad Mex to call its own. The Pittsburgh based chain will be slinging margaritas and burritos in a few months. [The Insider]

Mad Mex is doing a brewer feature with Victory Brewing all January. They’re pouring 22oz Prima Pils for just $4 all month and starting tonight they are also featuring kegs of St. Victorious.
