Rob LaScalla (LaScala, duh) bought Paradigm and Dulce over the summer. By the end of the week both will be open as affordable Italian concepts. Rocchino’s is open at Paradigm’s old address and will serve a menu of pizzas and pastas. Opening Thursday is Azione, an affordable red-gravy Italian spot that will serve family style. [The Insider]

Two New Concepts for Old City

Posted by Foobooz on August 11th, 2011

Rob LaScala who owns LaScala’s at 7th and Chestnut purchased Paradigm and Dolce back in January with the promise that they would be reborn with new concepts. Today we have those concepts.

Paradigm’s space will become Joe’s Kitchen & Wine Bar. The spot will focus on charcuterie, imported cheese and antipasti plates.

Baratta will go into the Dolce space and will offer brick-oven pizzas  and an Abruzze menu from LaScala’s chef Joe Nocella.

Both restaurants are aiming for a pre-Restaurant Week September opening.
