Seafood Unlimited Reopens After Major Makeover

David and Judi Einhorn’s Seafood Unlimited is back in action as of late August after a summer hiatus and a major makeover. After 24 years of owning the Philly mainstay on Rittenhouse Square the Einhorns have worked to double the space at the bar, add seating, redecorate, create a completely new menu, and add later hours. Seafood Unlimited now holds 36 guests in the dining area and ten at the bar, and an expanded mosaic mural graces the walls. They’ve also exchanged their previous logo for this much creepier one:

Passover Options

Alison two is serving up Passover on Wednesday, April 8th and Thursday April 9th. There will be Matzah Ball Soup, Gefilte Fish, Charoset and a free glass of wine. For entrees choose from salmon, chicken or beef short ribs. $35 also includes dessert. [Alison two]

Le Castagne is offering a special Passover dinner on the 8th and 9th. [Le Castagne]

London Grill is offering a Seder Menu on April 8 and 9 plus Passover specials all week. The four course meal (fish, soup, main and dessert) is $40 per person, $20 for those under 11. [London Grill]

Seafood Unlimited’s David Einhorn breaks out his grandmother’s Gefilte Fish recipe. Just $3.75 per piece. [Seafood Unlimited]

Zahav goes with a Passover menu from the 8th to the 15th of April. The $42 menu includes handmade Matzah, Salatim and hummus, Yemenite-style Matzah Ball Soup, hot-smoked sable with Sephardic charoset, coffee-braised brisket with horseradish and truffled potato kugel and finally chocolate Matzah torte. Looking for a silver lining in a crappy economy? Well the price of lobster is plummeting. Rittenhouse Square’s Seafood Unlimited is passing along the savings with a nightly lobster special.

Every night through the end of the year Seafod Unlimited is offering  1 1/8 pound lobsters for $19.75, 1 1/2 pounders for $27.75 or 2 pound jumbo lobster for$37. No matter the size, each is served with two sides.

Tuesdays is an extra special deal as 1 1/2 pound lobsters served with two sides are just $24.95 all night.

All of the specials are available to eat-in or to take home.

It’s a beautiful night out so why not look to dine outside, the restaurant row of 20th Street is always a good bet, whether it’s Snackbar, 20 Manning, Seafood Unlimited or Audrey Claire.
