Starting today and running through Monday, May 27, Shake Shack will be offering a couple of specials, the Shack Corn Dog and Pecan Pie Oh My concrete. Shake Shack only offers corn dogs three times per year (Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day), so get one now.

The annual Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival is this Saturday, May 18, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.. The festival extends from Walnut Street from Broad to 19th and on 18th Street, from Locust to Sansom. Over 40 of the areas best restaurants will be serving up their cuisine for your enjoyment at an affordable price. Some highlights of the participating restaurants include a. Kitchen, Barclay Prime, Continental Mid-town, Di Bruno Bros., El Rey, Le Bec Fin, Oyster House, Parc, Sbraga, Shake Shack, Vernick, and Village Whiskey.
If that doesn’t make you want go, maybe this will; there will be a tasting area with 20 of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board’s Chairman’s Selection wines with a concierge and on-site store.
Other stands will offer Peroni beer, Rex Goliath wines, Cintron, and cocktails. Also, there will be cooking demonstration at 19th and Walnut courtesy of Starr Restaurants. The great food, booze, shopping, activities and weather make the Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival a can’t miss.

Shake it for a good cause!
Starting May 1st, Shake Shack is hosting the 2nd annual Great American Shake Sale, a company-wide marketing initiative benefiting Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign. Throughout the month of May, Shake Shack guests who donate $2 or more to No Kid Hungry will receive a card for a complimentary $5 shake, redeemable on their next visit. One hundred percent of donations will benefit No Kid Hungry.
Last year, Shake Shack raised $135,742 for No Kid Hungry. This year Shake Shack has upped the goal to $150,000.
In the spirit of the bake sale, Shake Shack is offering seven special baked good-inspired frozen custard flavors—one for each day of the week.

Yesterday we round up all the Easter specials we could get our hands on. Today we learn that Shake Shack is getting on board with a couple of special items available today through Sunday, March 31st.
The Easter HAMburger is a cheeseburger topped with sliced Niman Ranch ham and pickled shallots.
The Shackbury Easter Egg Concrete combines frozen custard blended with caramel sauce and milk chocolate chunks.

Last week, we got all excited over discovering that Shake Shack was expanding in Philly–throwing down on a second location in University City and bringing joy and cheeseburgers to Drexel and all its neighbors.
But now we’ve just gotten word that the UCity expansion was only half the story.

Shake Shack is indeed coming to University City. Danny Meyer’s burger chain will be an anchor tenant of Drexel’s Chestnut Square complex, under construction on the 3200 block of Chestnut. It is the second Shake Shack for Philadelphia, succeeding the always crowded location at 20th and Sansom.
Burgers should be pumping out of the kitchen by the time Drexel rolls back to school in the fall of 2013.

That’s what the rumor-mill is churning out today. According to the Insider, a Drexel campus location for Shake Shack seems most likely–which will no doubt set off a battle between Drexel and Penn burger fanatics. But honestly, who cares? Though the best possible location would be directly next door to my house, there really is no bad place for a 2nd Shake Shack. Every additional location just means more tasty cheeseburgers in Philly–a development I am fully in favor of.
UPDATE: It’s confirmed, Shake Shack is going in at 32nd and Chestnut.

Jake’s Sandwich Board has brought back its most popular sandwich and shake now through Thanksgiving. The sandwich is a turducken sandwich is first smothered in cranberry spread, then layered with apple-sausage stuffing and stuffed with creole seasoned slices of turkey, duck and chicken and topped off with brown gravy and hashbrowns. The pumpkin pie shake (which we don’t recommend consuming at the same time you tackle the Turducken sandwich) is vanilla ice cream blended with fresh pumpkin pie and topped with ginger bread cookies. The sandwich is $10 and the shake is $5.

The always community-conscious Shake Shack is hosting a week-long drive to help raise awareness and funds for the American Red Cross in support of victims impacted by Hurricane Sandy. All week, they’ll be doling out the “Rally Shake,” inspired by NYC’s Black & White cookie ($5.50), to gain support and funds for those in need.
For every shake sold, Shake Shack will donate $2 to the American Red Cross every day until November 11th.

Shake Shack is on the attack for Halloween. In celebration of the holiday, Shake Shack is serving up two scary good specials from Friday, October 26th through Wednesday, October 31st. Check out The Halloweenie, a Vienna all-beef hot dog topped with pumpkin mustard, crumbled bacon, cranberries and sage.
