Bad News: Lobster Mania at Chick’s Social Kitchen and Bar is coming to an end in two weeks.

Good News: For the final two Tuesdays and Wednesdays in May, Chick’s will be serving up a one-pound lobster with clams, mussels, and potatoes for only $18.

We hazard to guess there won’t be a better lobster deal this season, so get it while it lasts.

Tacos and Tequila This Tuesday at Lolita

Chef Marcie Turney brings back fan-favorite $20 Taco Tuesday this April and May at Lolita starting April 9th.

Conquer those midweek cravings with an appetizing menu consisting of grilled fillet tips, Puerco borracha, grilled asparagus and wild mushrooms, crispy plantain and blue corn crusted mahi, jicama, lime Mexican beans with smoked bacon, cotija, chile and a whole slew of other delicacies. Vegetarian beans are also available upon request.

And wash down those tacos with a nice glass of tequila. Taco Tuesdays are BYOT (Bring Your Own Tequila) and Lolita is serving up freshly-squeezed margarita mixes for your drinks: choose from blood orange, traditional lime and passion fruit!

Avenida Offers Up Taco Tuesday This Spring

Are you ready for Taco Tuesday?!

Mt. Airy’s Avenida on Germantown Avenue will be hosting this special event every Tuesday starting April 9th. Specials include three tacos and three sides for just $20 per person.

There’s a wide variety of tacos to choose from, including pan-seared pentado (Brazilian Tigerfish) with shredded fried tortillas, iceberg lettuce and romesco sauce; grilled lamb sausage with pico de gallo; black bean and soy chorizo with escabeche; and pollo a la parrilla, grilled chicken with creamy roasted pepper-garlic sauce and cilantro leaves. As far as toppings go, sink your teeth into baked black beans with cloves and bacon lardons; trio frito, yukon gold, sweet potato and yucca fries; creamy cabbage and watercress with dulce de leche chipotle vinaigrette; and fried zucchini “noodles” with jalapeños, onions and tomatillo sauce.

Tuesday is All-You-Can-Eat Snow Crabs at the Field House

Snow crabs tend to be weirdly addicting. You crack one open, suck it down, and sooner or later you’re ten deep, you’re covered in crab carcasses, and you have no idea what year it is.

At least that’s been the constant on my end…

The Convention Center’s recently renovated sports bar/beer hall, Field House, is now offering snow crabs every Tuesday, all you can eat of them. For $25, chef Andrew Brown (previously of White Dog and Opa) will serve you an endless supply of snow crab, fries, and drawn butter. They’re an easy pair with local crafts too, so grab a long table, throw down some beers, and gluttonize in snow crabs forever.

London Grill Offering Half Off Burgers Every Tuesday

Fairmount’s London Grill is offering half-off its London Burger every Tuesday (that’s it pictured above in all its English muffin topped glory). All you need to get half off is follow London Grill on twitter or instagram to find out the secret password.

Lolita’s Taco Tuedays Are Back

Taco Tuesdays at Lolita are back. For only $20, each guest has a choice of four different tacos: grilled skirt steak, beer braised pork shoulder, seared wild mushrooms, and grilled chicken borracha. After that, every guest will receive avocado-tomatillo salsa, roasted tomato-chipotle salsa, jicama & orange salad, mexican beans, arroz amarillo, and fresh corn tortillas.

Remember, it’s BYOT, so bring your best bottle, bring cash, and in the immortal words of Stateside’s George Sabatino on the Philadelphia episode of The Layover, “…get ripped on tequila and eat f**king carnitas all night.”

Weekly Specials at Odd Fellows Cafe

Odd Fellows Café in Washington Square West has been serving up some awesome weekly specials. On Mondays and Wednesdays a special prix fixe menu is available that changes each week. For $14.99 guests get a choice of one of two appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The special runs from 5 to 7 p.m. each night, be sure to get there early because all ordering must be done by 7 p.m.

On Tuesdays Odd Fellows does all-you-can-eat tacos for $13.99 and Thursdays features all-you-can-eat arepas for the same price, all between 5 and 7 p.m. Early birds get the worm and arepas with these specials too.

Of course Odd Fellows serves brunch on weekend mornings from 9-3 p.m. and the restaurant is always BYOB.

Tuesday Prix Fixe Menus at Will

Starting Tuesday September 18^th, chef Chris Kearse will begin serving a special weekly prix-fixe menu at Will. Each menu will be based around one particular ingredient and will be $45 per person. Kearse will also use a technique and/or flavor that pushes the menu beyond what might be expected at Will. “We’re going to be a little more adventurous with these menus, and really stretch ourselves in the kitchen,” said Kearse. “We’ll get to try new techniques, new flavor combinations, and give our guests a new experience.” The menu will only be available on Tuesday of each week.
