Philadelphia’s best known gay bar is getting serious about beer. Renovations to Woody’s will add 32 tap lines to the 13th Street institution. The Institute’s Heather DeRussey will be managing the bar’s beer program and coordinating beer events. The taps will be dedicated to mostly craft brands with an emphasis on local beers. DeRussey promises she will be adding more complex and off-the-wall beer over time.
